Repairing a Damaged Wall

You don’t always need to re-plaster a wall. It’s useful to know how to plaster holes and other imperfections that might b visible. Small holes can be repaired using a filler ,preferably made from skimming plaster or Ames or British Gypsum make a range or fillers specifically for this job . Larger holes will most likely require re-plastering ,and maybe even a backing plaster applied first .

Start by clearing any dust and dirt inside the hole. This makes sure your not plastering to already crumbling plaster or dust so your plaster will adhere to the wall.

Any hole under 12mm should only require one coat. Deeper than that will need the two coats.
